www.demilunejewelry.etsy.com is coming along...a little slowly. I really just need to transfer things from my old site and add new items, but I get stuck on the description writing. But my new business cards are on the way!! Hope they look great!

Great holiday gifts

One of my friends is buying these pretty earrings for gifts - aren't you jealous?? These are cubic zirconia stones, sterling coated wire and sterling hooks. Notice the sterling crimp covers that hide the crimp bead? And the lever backs that provide more security to these earrings? These are pretty cool...

Got my tax ID, gonna open my bank account and PayPal account, gonna order pretty blue ribbon!! I'm on my way!

I made these darling earrings from faceted green amethyst; tiny pearls; and sterling beads, wires, and hooks. My friend Denise at work was like, "I love those earrings" and I was like, "I made them" and Denise was all, "Make me a pair - I'll pay you."

Denise is now the proud owner of these beauties. Lucky girl.

A Star (Moon) is Born

Welcome to my blog! I'm in the process of changing my jewelry business from 'dlosinger' to 'DemiLune', so you will be seeing lots of changes!

When I created my dlosinger site on etsy.com, I went through dozens of names trying to find something that suited me and wasn't already taken. No luck, so I went with 'dlosinger', which certainly suits me but is kinda boring. Then one day, while I was at my acupuncture appointment, the word 'damsel' popped into my head as a possibility - which was cool, since my initials are DML. Well, between etsy.com and the rest of the web, there are a bajillion 'damsels' or damsel variations, so that wouldn't work either. I liked the idea that the name would include my initials since I had been having trouble finding a name that 'clicked' with me. So I went onto a website that helped people cheat at crosswords by finding words with a certain numbers of letters including certain letters in certain spots (got it?). After a few tries, I found demilune, which I loved AND passed muster with my friend Paige. The rest is history. Or will be....
